I bet her new nickname is Sandy.
I lived near Lake Michigan growing up, but remember my dad’s numerous reminders to not dig into a sand dune. In those cases, you would be trapped head in as the sand flowed down the hill. I think the rate of death and near death incidents was probably much higher when I was young, as we were always outside playing in the woods, creeks, construction sites, or sand hills, rather than sitting playing video games, surfing the net, or watching TV.
I think Neil Young wrote a song about her.
