Puerto Rico: Anti-Trump San Juan Mayor Loses Bid for Governor

Breitbart: San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz (PDP), who rose to the national spotlight after routinely criticizing President Trump and his administration over the nation’s response to Hurricane Maria in 2017, lost her primary bid for governor of Puerto Rico over the weekend.

Cruz failed to secure the Popular Democratic Party’s (PDP) nomination for governor, losing to Carlos Delgado in what amounted to a messy primary hallmarked by missing ballots and delays.

According to the Miami Herald, Delgado led with 63 percent of the vote with 60 percent of precincts reporting Sunday evening. Puerto Rico Sen. Eduardo Bhatia fell behind Delgado with 23 percent of the vote, followed by Cruz with 13, the outlet reported. read more

  1. Just loved it when she stood in front of the warehouse that was loaded with food water and supplies for thousands of people and declared that the Trump Administration hadn’t sent any supplies to P.R. Especially when it was marked U.S Government.

  3. I live in FL. Being governor of PR is like being a hall monitor in middle school. All they do is see how much fed money and tourist $$ they can funnel into the bank accounts of themselves and their cronies.

The PRs have had a vote for independence a few times and had a giant-ass reality check right before the vote. And FYI: more PRs live on the mainland that live in PR and they sure as shit don’t want to go back.
