The word “woman” is now cancelled because it isn’t inclusive enough of non-cisgendered individuals who choose to identify as female.
In a post on Twitter, the TED Talks affiliate TEDxLondon, which organizes and hosts public speeches for unremarkable speakers whose opinions range from “uninteresting” to “terrible,” condemned the use of the word “woman” and explained why it was necessary to adopt “womxn.”
TEDxLondon announced the use of the new, inclusive word, which was created with the same purpose as Tumblr-inspired neologisms like “latinx” that have come into vogue on college campuses throughout the Western hemisphere. more
Who in the hell thinks this shit up and why should we care? Time to tell super sensitive sissies to go to hell. Time to knock this shit off.
“…Tumblr-inspired neologisms like “latinx” that have come into vogue on college campuses throughout the Western hemisphere…”
…and that NONE of my Central and South Americans have ANY intention of using, they mostly snicker about it and consider it to be only for the estúpidos jóvenes blancos…
…funny too, the same folks that say Hispanic culture is better, want to change Hispanic culture too, right down to the language that DEFINES them as “Hispanic”, the ONLY thing that unites the divers countries found below the Rio Grande, and some gringo will tell THEM how to speak, it would be funny if they weren’t so serious…
I thought the MAN part of the word woMAN was based on being of huMAN origin, but I don’t have a gender studies degree so what do I know.
I’m with @judgeroybean. Such a small % of the population gets so much attention.
They have a patron saint; Our Lady of the perpetually offended.
Damn, if they cancel women who will make those delicious sammichs?
A rag, a bone, a hank of hair.
The days of Noah and Lot are coming upon us.
How do you pronounce womxn?
You pronounce it, “Fuck off”.
“Damn, if they cancel women who will make those delicious sammichs?”
TED’s boyfriend.
Just like universities, TED Talks are now useless.
I can say “broads” instead. It seems more descriptive anyhow.
Ted talks are given mostly by liberals who think they have answers, and the audience is made up of mostly liberals who need to hear only answers they agree with.
