American Thinker| Pamela Geller:
Allum Bokhari, the senior technology correspondent at Breitbart News, has performed an extraordinarily valuable service by giving us his new book #Deleted: Big Tech’s Battle to Erase the Trump Movement and Steal the Election. While the social media giants’ efforts to suppress all dissent from their far-left, anti-American agenda have been going on for years, few people are aware of the full depth and breadth of this sinister initiative, or of how it is much more than just a bias toward the left, but a carefully planned and coordinated endeavor that, if left unchecked, will do nothing less than relegate our First Amendment right of freedom of speech to the dustbin of history.
In #Deleted, Allum Bokhari tells the whole shocking story. For those who don’t realize the implications of what is going on, he includes a Prologue entitled “The Typewriter That Talked Back” that is as amusing as it is disturbing, and that makes abundantly clear even to the most technically challenged among us what is really happening to our foremost and most important freedom, right under our noses. Bokhari paints a vivid picture of a 1968 in which a typewriter refuses to type, typing instead its own message: “We regret to inform you that your last letter violated our terms of service (Rule 32: Abusive & Offensive Content). We have suspended access to your typewriter for 24 hours.” Newsstands remove from sale magazines that third-party “fact-checkers” have deemed to be “fake news.” The Post Office returns your mail because you told a joke in a letter that a censor found offensive. more
IOTW IS my social media.
FAZEbook, Tweeter, and the rest, can go 🖕😠🖕 themselves.
As happy as I am to see this book, I am afraid it will not do much good. Those that are already addicted to social media will write it off (pun intended) as being a far-right whacko hit piece. Those of us who agree will laud it.
Maybe I am getting more cynical as I get older. OK, those who have seen my posts know I am getting more cynical, but even ignoring that, I do not see this impacting the 95% (or so) who have already had their minds made up for them.
Steve Inman’s you tube channel has been terminated.
When whoever regularly implements shadow banning against conservative posters dies and goes to Hell (and they will), I hope they spend an eternity witnessing conversations where they have valid input and nobody will be able to hear what they say or know they’re even there.
I see Jim Jordan, who I considered a solid, is taking big bucks from google. He does the Trey Gowdy thing asking google tough questions and than melting away. That’s exactly why nothing has been done to curtail this censorship despite the mountain of proof showing conservatives and only conservatives are being restricted.
And don’t forget that famous video of a google upper management meeting after Hillary lost where that emphatically said that getting caught with their pants down was not going to happen again.
It’s fucking hopeless. The only thing that has even a slight chance of working are term limits. When these guys are there for 10-20-30 years, it’s just too much damn time for someone to get their hooks in them.
And the chances of these assholes limiting the power they wield are slim and none.
And Steve Innman is gone?? Oh man, say it ain’t so. I was just watching the guy that got nailed with the cone last night.
