  1. I’m only 30 miles from DC. I’ll have to peak my head out of the house occasionally this morning and look up to see what flies over. Sometimes the presidents helicopters fly over when they go to and from Camp David.

  2. The Confederate Airforce had alot of their
planes in Galveston at one time.I fish near
the airport in Offatts Bayou.I enjoyed the
thundering sound of the B-17 and the plane Dad
flew on the B-25 in the south Pacific flying around
the bayou. I sure would like to be at the DC flyover!!!

  3. Maybe it’s another coincidence but all these World War 2 airplanes will be flying over Wash. DC at approximately the same time as tens of tens of thousands and hopefully hundreds of thousands of Christians and others are gathered together on the National Mall by the Washington Monument to pray for our nation that God would heal our land. What a great way to celebrate not only our last War Victory but a new one led by God for the restoration of our nation. The timing is perfect.

  4. Brad – You probably know, but the Corsair’s unusual wing design was for elevating the plane to give it enough prop clearance when taking off and landing. The engine’s power allowed it to swing a massive prop!
