Minneapolis Business Owner Threatens to Sue City Officials For Failure to Respond to Violence

WFB-

A Minneapolis business owner is threatening to sue Mayor Jacob Frey (D.) and the city council for creating a “lawless” zone near his establishment.

Mark Thompson, a lawyer representing the owner of grocery store Cup Foods, sent a letter to city officials last week demanding they remove barricades blocking off the area—which some are calling an “autonomous zone”—around where George Floyd was killed in May. Floyd died in a police confrontation after a Cup Foods employee reported him for allegedly using a counterfeit $20 bill at the store. According to the letter, the area has become “too dangerous to conduct business” at night due to the barricades and the city’s failure to provide adequate policing.

“After dark, the area is basically a lawless zone that is too dangerous to conduct business,” the letter says. “In fact, due to the City’s barricades and refusal to provide law enforcement in the area, the City has created and is maintaining this lawless zone. This is unacceptable.”  more

  1. Do It!

Get a group together, sue the city & the mayor & the council for failing to do their jobs.

Media will show up, you get free advertising, and you create problems for the politicians.

  2. …lawsuits only work when rule of law does.

There is no rule of law available there.

And it’s not even a lawsuit, it’s a threat, and an empty one at that because its liberal lawyers vs. liberal lawyers, so the only winners will be liberal lawyers.

Worst case, City taxpayers pick up the legal bills and any judgment you eventually get.

It will not change City behavior one iota, and they are on the side of the lawless.

All you can do is leave.

…and that’s what EVERYONE should be doing at this point, hollow it out and leave them to starve.

…you’re just gonna get burned down on November 3rd anyway, so you don’t really have time for this crap to begin with…

“Admit you effed up last time…”

…the Millennial and Post-Millenial cohorts are largely incapable of doing this, regarding ANYTHING.

Instead, they just double down because any failure MUST be because they didn’t crush “boomer” resistance enough, and if old people would just DIE, then Communism will work THIS time…

“This is totally O/T, but there is a boomer/millennial connection, and it was a tweet I just ran across that will put a smile on your face:

    Huh.
I just came across this gem from 2016 while I was looking for something else, and just WAITING for someone to post something Marine-based, and here you are.

    Thank you.

…without further ado, here’s proof that Marines know some VERBAL judo, too…

    “Marines

Marine Corps General Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you have to read his reply to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and children. Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this. This is one of the best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We’re going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That’s a bit irresponsible, isn’t it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don’t see why, they’ll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don’t you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don’t see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: But you’re equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL REINWALD: Well, you’re equipped to be a prostitute, but you’re not one, are you?

The radio went silent and the interview ended. You gotta love the Marines. ”
