Democratic nominee Joe Biden lied his way through the final presidential debate with President Donald Trump. NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker interrupted Trump more than she interrupted Biden, and Biden was the first person to interrupt a fellow candidate on the stage. This debate proved far more civil than the first debate.
Trump cleaned Biden’s clock on a few issues, while Biden more frequently hoisted himself on his own petard. The president did a good job of standing back and letting Biden dig himself into a hole. When Trump called him out on previous statements Biden had made, the Democrat merely claimed he never made those statements.
1. Hunter Biden
Trump put the Democrat on the defensive even before the debate began by bringing Tony Bobulinski to the debate as his guest. Bobulinski is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings, a company he founded with CEFC China Energy and the Biden family. He came forward on Thursday to corroborate the damning emails discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Among other things, Bobulinski claimed that Joe Biden was personally involved in the nefarious business deals Hunter Biden and James Biden (the then-vice president’s brother) undertook in foreign countries like Ukraine and China.
“What he said was damning. Regardless of me, I think you have to clean it up and explain it to the American people,” Trump told Biden.
The Democrat responded by claiming, “I have not taken a single penny from any country whatsoever, ever.” He also attacked Trump over a bank account that paid the Chinese government nearly $200,000 in taxes between 2013 and 2015, before Trump was president.
This was a non-sequitur because Hunter Biden (and allegedly Joe Biden himself) raked in cash from China while his father was vice president and the Obama point person on China and without experience in the industries involved. As for Trump, a Trump Organization lawyer said the company paid taxes to China after opening an office in the country to “explore the potential for hotel deals in Asia.” Not only was Trump a private citizen at the time, but he has experience in real estate.
Yet Biden proceeded to make an utterly outrageous lie.
“My son has not made money in terms of this thing you’re talking about, China,” Biden insisted. He claimed that “the guy who got in trouble in Ukraine” was President Trump, whom Biden accused of “trying to bribe” the Ukrainian government to dig up dirt on Biden.
Biden’s claim that his son has not made money in China is utterly, disgustingly false. In fact, there’s an entire movie about it! more here

CBS sucks at truck stop bathrooms for loose change though. Major Garret came on afterwards to “fact check” to say Trump lied about everything and that Biden is honest about everything. The Obama administration never spied on Trump. If you don’t say that we’re all going to die from Covid then you’re a liar. Biden is honest that they allowed children to stay with their coyotes, I mean, parents when they border jumped.
Garrett has turned into a real POS to sing for his CBS supper.
My favorite line from the debate: “I ran because of you, Joe”. BOOM!
My favorite part of the debate was when Joe left his wife standing on the stage and made a bee line for the moderator in order to compliment her fantastic smile and get close enough to sniff her.
One thing that the debate changed for me, and the only thing, is that Joe didn’t come across as someone I can see as a senile old man with dementia. He seemed pretty well in control of himself and fully aware of what he was doing and saying.
I no longer think of him that way and wonder how I allowed myself to start thinking about him as such, a manipulation I fell for maybe.
Still would never vote for him and what he represents.

In a sane society, which refuses to tolerate partisan operatives masquerading as journalists, we could expect the media to call out any falsehoods uttered by either of the “debaters.” In other words, we would have an objective standard for verification. But ours is not a sane society.

He’s had periods of lucidity before, just haven’t seen 90 minutes consecutively. Could be because of the 5 days for “debate prep” and possibly chemicals. We’ll have a better idea if he manages to make a lengthy public appearance before next week.
Anonymous, same with Hillary. Four years ago, I thought she’d be dead by now. Yet here she is, still bitter and batshit crazy. If she’d won, she’d be running again right now, and campaigning just like Joe, probably. Joe is unwell, but in a way that can be both denied by supporters and obvious to detractors. Absent a massive seizure like Hillary had, Joe’s health problems are the least of his worries.
And don’t believe that crap about him collapsing on Day One and handing off to Kamala. Once he’s in, he’s on cruise control. He’s been in DC 47 years, and he didn’t run just to quit. Kamala had better get over her gold fever. Joe’s got some cleanup to do, and with some luck in the Senate and House races, he’ll get it done before the next midterms.
And Hillary, whom we left for dead at the curb four years ago, just might be his SecDef. It’s just like in the horror movies: Never turn your back on the dead monster, because it’s always undead.
Trump is lucky he gets to debate an idiot like Joe Biden instead of someone like Jeffrey Toobin, who’s a master debater.
Biden began stammering more as the evening went on. His Adderall must have been wearing off.
Welker didn’t follow up on Biden. The only things she was better at was covering for Biden more smoothly than Wallace and going after Trump with numerous follow ups trying to trap him.
Biden just showed himself to be the stereotypical lying politician.
