Last Place: Shepard Smith’s new CNBC show tanks in ratings

Just The News: Former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith’s new show on CNBC is not doing so well.

In fact, his prime-time show is running behind even repeats of Fox Business’s show “Lou Dobbs Tonight.”

The show, “The News with Shepard Smith,” launched on Sept. 30 and has drawn some big-name guests, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, an immunologist and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who served on the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

While the show brought in an average of 343,000 total viewers its first week, according to Nielsen, in its second week that number dropped to 268,000 in its second week, and dropped again in Week 3 to 254,000.

Worse, the coveted demographic of the 25-54 age group came in at an average 58,000 viewers in Week 1 and dropped to 48,000 the next week.

“Between September 30 and October 22, The News with Shepard Smith was at the bottom of 7 p.m. cable news ratings – behind MSNBC’s Joy Reid, CNN’s Erin Burnett and Fox News’ Martha MacCallum – with an average of 272,000 viewers,” Mediaite reported. more

  1. Sheepy Smif gets the ratings he worked for…
But he did bring both viewers from FooxUp News,
The fact he is homosexual should not be an employment consideration,
Viewers may not care for him or his French poodle.

  2. I wonder about the terms with of his contract with CNBC is? Did
he get a “pay me anyway” clause like Megyn Kelly did with NBC. If so I bet there’s a few CNBC execs that are mighty concerned right now.

  3. Shep Smith – yet another example of why libs love socialism.

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” Ol’ Shep is in dire need.

  4. Give it up Smith. You’ve still got a future as the voice of the Talking Yellow Pages for the vision-impaired. Philly’s current voice died during last night’s WalMart looting.
