SLT: Republican Burgess Owens maintained his lead over Rep. Ben McAdams for the fifth day in a row on Wednesday as new ballot results were posted from Salt Lake County.
Owens now has a 1,697 vote advantage over McAdams, with 47.50% of the vote to the Salt Lake City Democrat’s 47.03%. But it may not be clear who’s won the closely-watched race until the final canvass Nov. 17.
Still, Owens’ campaign said Wednesday that his camp was feeling “very optimistic” about the results that have come in so far. read more
I’ve been watching this race. Owens is a GOOD man and I’m hoping he hangs on!
It’s a real pity about that water pipe breaking tomorrow afternoon and destroying all remaining republican ballots.
Were the Dominion machines in Utah?
^^^ They’re busy replacing the nameplates on those machines.
What the hell?
Are they counting like 10 ballots a day?
How could this take so long?
As much as I loathe identity politics and its decisive destructive results, I have to admit that when I see people of color finally waking up, turning their backs on the Democrats and their hollow politics, and embracing a conservative agenda and its potential to life all boats making everyone prosperous, it puts a smile on my face.
Burgess Owens is a good man and a much needed voice of sanity for the black community.

Have you SEEN the videos of the vote counters? Mystery solved. Looks like TSA or USPS.
Reply to Mr. Ann Thropy – the vote counting goes as follows:
” One for you (R) and Two for me (D)
Salt Lake County says that the remaining ballots are mostly provisional. Provisional ballots are usually Democrats in this county. They are also highly questionable and would take extra time to screen. The County Clerk is a Dem, so there is motivation to make every vote count — at least, every Democrat vote. I imagine that Owens has watchers scrutinizing the process carefully, as his slim margin could evaporate very quickly, given the size of the backlog.
For some bizarre reason, no one here wants to look for fraud. I am confident that if they checked the registration records, they would find a lot of “glitches”, and if they looked for it, they would find ballot harvesting and intimidation. Of course, they won’t, because it is unseemly for noble conservatives to lower themselves to such levels — that, and they don’t want to bring a negative light to the State.
