It’s great to remember when life was carefree and simply fun to look forward to a holiday of family togetherness. The fidelity of the vocals as well as the bands (lots of horns) from the 50’s and 60’s seem to be much richer to my ear than the “music” that is pushed out to the masses these days. I’ll take a Kay Starr over Billie Eilish and her ilk every day of the week and twice on Sundays as far as vocal quality goes.
The Christmas songs from Gene Autry (including the backup singers), Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, etc. from the 50’s and 60’s are simply much richer to my ear than the pablum that passes for music these days.

Bubbas Brother – You are right. Studio “sweetening” has destoyed the dynamic range of music as well as the artificial instruments and auto-tune pitch correction and isually an overwhelming beat!
