Rep. Mo Brooks plans to challenge Electoral College vote on Jan. 6: Report

Just the News: Alabama Republican Rep. Mo Brooks plans to challenge the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6, when Congress is scheduled to certify Democrat Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential race.

Brooks has been telling his plan to fellow House members and might follow without the backing of Senate Republicans, according to Politico.

To trigger such a legislative effort, at least one member from the House and the Senate must challenge the results of the Electoral College vote.

Brooks called the November election “badly flawed,” and mail-in voting “unconstitutional.”  more

  1. What happens once the Electoral College votes are challenged? Do the donkeys and elephants all go out for dinner and drinks together and laugh at how they all stuck it up our asses again?

  2. So that would leave us with the House appointing the President and the Senate appointing the Vice President and the next administration being a congressionally appointed one instead of an elected one?

  3. @TommyBoy in IN, thank you! Nothing buoys my spirits these days like a little Mel Brooks. That man was hysterically funny.
