New York Congressional Race in the Air as County Discovers 55 New Ballots

Dan Bongino –

The race between Rep. Anthony Brindisi (D) and former Rep. Claudia Tenney (R) in NY-22 remains the only House race still undecided. Four weeks after Election Day, Tenney, who lost this seat to Brindisi in 2018, is currently ahead with 155,492 votes, compared to 155,480 for Brindisi, a difference of just 12 votes.

But there’s been a new development in this tight, and volatile, rematch. On Tuesday, Chenango County Attorney Alan Gordon informed New York Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte that 55 additional early votes had been “discovered.” Why does this happen so often when Democrats need additional votes?

In his letter, which can be viewed below, Gordon wrote that the ballots had apparently been “mislaid and never counted.” Gordon told the judge, “Of those 55 ballots, I am advised that 44 are countable, and 11 are not (voters not registered). I have advised our Board of Elections to not open any of those ballots and to secure them in their offices.”

He added that he would await direction from the court on how to proceed. more

  1. ” “Chenango County government, including the board of elections, was affected by a ransomware attack prior to the election. …. ”

If they were vulnerable to a ransomware attack they were equally vulnerable to a fraudulent vote hacker attack as well.

Do our government workers and officials have no concept of computer and data security?

    Discovered ballots[edit]
King County Council Chairman Larry Phillips was at a Democratic Party office in Seattle on Sunday December 12, reviewing a list of voters whose absentee votes had been rejected due to signature problems, when to his surprise he found his own name listed. Phillips said he was certain he had filled out and signed his ballot correctly, and asked the county election officials to investigate the discrepancy. They discovered that Phillips’ signature had somehow failed to be scanned into the election computer system after he submitted his request for an absentee ballot. Election workers claimed that they had received Phillips’ absentee ballot in the mail, but they could not find his signature in the computer system to compare to the one on the ballot envelope, so they mistakenly rejected the ballot instead of following the standard procedure of checking it against the signature of Phillips’ physical voter registration card that was on file. The discovery prompted King County Director of Elections Dean Logan to order his staff to search the computers to see if any other ballots had been incorrectly rejected.
