Colorado’s public school enrollment has dropped by 30,000 students

That could spell financial disaster for districts. Public schools reported a decrease in the number of students for the first time in 30 years, many of them in early grades.

  1. no kids attended public school in 2020
but … the school taxes, for the 4th year in a row, are more expensive than last year, and 4 times more expensive than my prop tax
    I want my money back!

  2. They’ve had kids in CO recently writing op-ed’s imploring the governor to allow the schools to open because their mental health has deteriorated and they keep learning about suicides. One boy reported 7 suicides in his area and he can’t understand why across the border in NE they are living more freely and going to school. So Polis responds to him and acts like he has nothing to do with it and says I hope schools open soon too. Tragic. We’ve allowed these sociopathic lunatics in both parties to bring our kids to a mental health crisis. So yeah they aren’t in school, shocking.

  3. Time to disband the Department of Education, ban all unions from education, seize all of their assets and return the money to the local school systems. Otherwise let the whole system collapse and burn the unions and corrupt politicos to the ground. Shoot anyone who demands higher taxes for their public school Ponzi scheme.

  4. At our church brunch this past Sunday, my adopted step daughter was seriously talking about plans for home schooling. She is very upset about what is going on with public schools.

What’s different is when she was married to my best friend from 2010-2012, she had the attitude that home schooling – that was touted and planned out by her husband (my best friend) – was an extreme, tedious, and unnecessary thing.

Totally different attitude nowadays from her. I love her even more now. This past Sunday was her first time at my church. She like what she saw and experienced. She’s coming again this Sunday. I told my best friend that I see she’s come a long way these past 8 years. I’m so freaking happy about her turnaround it isn’t funny. I’ve known her since she was 4. She’s really growing into loving God. 🙂 Been doing a few Snoopy dances over this lately.

Her two daughters have always been in my life and my best friend is the best kind of father to them even though they are not of his blood.
