I went hiking on my local loop, as I have done several times this month since moving to Boulder. Of course I knew the Boulder people would be as liberal as my former Santa Monica people, but I can’t help but be amazed that 90%+ are wearing masks – while hiking! Outdoors! I don’t wear one if it’s warm, on the cold days I may bring a Buff for warmth. And they all give me a 20-foot margin, as if their wearing a mask isn’t sufficient. If they asked I would tell them that they can’t get it from me – but they just assume the worst.
I am now referring to them as the Star-Bellied Sneetches. Obviously think they are superior because of their masks.
