CDC reports record-low positive flu tests

Mmhm. ‘Record low’.

Washington Examiner: As coronavirus cases surge nationwide, the flu has seen a remarkable dip. Reported cases of influenza reached record lows last week, with fewer than 40 diagnoses recorded during Dec. 13-19.

In week 51 of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s “FluView” data monitoring system, 36 positive flu tests were documented. This marks a steep decrease from last year’s total of 7,703 cases during the same time frame. The positivity rate has sharply declined this calendar year as only 0.10% of tests taken this year came back positive. The five-year average is 15.80% positive.

The data comes in defiance of the “twindemic” concerns perpetuated by medical experts, or the idea that the raging coronavirus pandemic and the seasonal increase in reported flu cases would converge with catastrophic results. Dr. Brian Garibaldi, the medical director of Johns Hopkins University’s Biocontainment Unit, told the Washington Examiner that “we have to be concerned about the possibility of having a surge in flu at the same time as we’re seeing a surge in COVID.”

“In any given winter, hospitals are taxed by the flu,” Garibaldi said. “There’s always a concern that our emergency departments will be overwhelmed and ICU capacity will be strained [due to the concurrence of flu and COVID-19 outbreaks], particularly with people who have coexisting conditions that then get influenza.” more

  1. I was hiking this afternoon and came across a nice couple – who weren’t wearing masks and were relaxed about it. She commented about Florida vs. California – could it possibly be that lockdowns and mask-wearing are part of the cause?
I told them I had just moved here (Boulder). They asked if I had found a church yet. My kind of people!

While we were chatting a guy came up the trail. He put his mask on – and seeing that I wasn’t putting one on walked at least 20 feet out of the way to avoid me. As if I have the cooties! 🙂

  2. And zero deaths. How fing stupid are people? And I’ve been saying this since day one. In the long run, they are destroying our natural resistance. I explained this to my family and extended family shortly after this freak show started. The only time we were masks is to walk through the door at our local grocery store. Then they come off. The wife and I belong to a gym that has everyone park in the back and we work out like a free people. The wife had a brush with it. Recovered fine. I’m in the high risk category. Nada. Then I read this.

    This does not sound logical.

  3. Why is there never any blood data available for those who have passed from the coof who are in the 99.9%+ survivable category and those who have survived who are in the high risk category? We get articles about people who are 30 years old that died, and people that are 90 years old that lived and the rest is a complete mystery. Tell us about deficiencies or something at the very least. There’s a coordinated effort to not let us know anything so the fear just keeps snowballing in mainstream. Hope you don’t die if you’re infected is no way to prepare, that’s the same BS we were fed back in February. Have we learned nothing?

  4. Above numbers are confusing the hell out of me. 0.10%…down from 15.80% Do they mean 10%, or .1 for the first figure? I can ignore the unnecessary zero, but are they saying that there are appx. 1/3 fewer positives, or 158 times fewer?

Was having the same thought about the ornamentals and the dispensers, Brad. Only I envisioned something like a baby acetylene tank with a crank valve. Every time they wanted to implement some new rules, they would release some virus to spike the numbers.

Yea, how does one explain most of Trumps cabinet getting infected when they were all at different locations. Including Trump. They write us off as dumb red necks but logic is logic. We might need a civil war to fix this.

  6. These “experts” and their drooling academic worshipers have screwed the pooch.
We should have been over this by now if we had taken the natural way of allowing the virus to infect, as it always does, eventually giving the population herd immunity.
All this social distancing/mask wearing/stay at home orders/business lockdown/bullshit has done is to extend the supposed emercency into the election season, which was the plan all along.

“I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I’m a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 “supposed” positive Covid 19 samples collected here in S. California. When my lab team and I did the testing through Koch’s postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), we found NO Covid in any of the 1500 samples. What we found was that all of the 1500 samples were mostly Influenza A and some were influenza B, but not a single case of Covid, and we did not use the B.S. PCR test. We then sent the remainder of the samples to Stanford, Cornell, and a few of the University of California labs and they found the same results as we did, NO COVID. They found influenza A and B. All of us then spoke to the CDC and asked for viable samples of COVID, which CDC said they could not provide as they did not have any samples.

We have now come to the firm conclusion through all our research and lab work, that the COVID 19 was imaginary and fictitious. The flu was called Covid and most of the 225,000 dead were dead through co-morbidities such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, emphysema etc. and they then got the flu which further weakened their immune system and they died. I have yet to find a single viable sample of Covid 19 to work with.

We at the 7 universities that did the lab tests on these 1500 samples are now suing the CDC for Covid 19 fraud. The CDC has yet to send us a single viable, isolated and purifed sample of Covid 19. If they can’t or won’t send us a viable sample, I say there is no Covid 19, it is fictitious. The four research papers that do describe the genomic extracts of the Covid 19 virus never were successful in isolating and purifying the samples. All the four papers written on Covid 19 only describe small bits of RNA which were only 37 to 40 base pairs long which is NOT A VIRUS. A viral genome is typically 30,000 to 40,000 base pairs. With as bad as Covid is supposed to be all over the place, how come no one in any lab world wide has ever isolated and purified this virus in its entirety? That’s because they’ve never really found the virus, all they’ve ever found was small pieces of RNA which were never identified as the virus anyway.

So what we’re dealing with is just another flu strain like every year, COVID 19 does not exist and is fictitious. I believe China and the globalists orchestrated this COVID hoax (the flu disguised as a novel virus) to bring in global tyranny and a worldwide police totalitarian surveillance state, and this plot included massive election fraud.”

  8. @Brad — Not sure if you’ll see this a day later, but…
NYPost:Congressman-elect Luke Letlow suffered a heart attack following operation

Louisiana Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, who died while battling COVID-19, suffered a heart attack following a procedure, a hospital official said.

The 41-year-old was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport when he died Tuesday, the Monroe News-Star reported.

LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor G.E. Ghali confirmed Letlow underwent an operation related to the virus and later went into cardiac arrest.

I did and I immediately thought of this conversation and your comment. The article I read specifically mentioned “an operation”. My question is, what kind of surgical procedures do they use to fix the flu?
