Officer who shot Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, will not face criminal charges

Just The News: A Wisconsin prosecutor announced Tuesday revealed that he will not bring criminal charges against Rusten Sheskey, the police officer who shot Jacob Blake in Kenosha last year.

The prosecutor said the evidence was “incontrovertible” that Blake was armed with a “razor blade-type knife,” which the suspect admitted possessing.

“It’s really evidence about the perspective of Officer Sheskey at each moment and what would a reasonable officer do at each moment,” Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley said. “Almost none of those things are answered in that deeply disturbing video that we’ve all seen.

“Officer Sheskey felt he was about to be stabbed,” Graveley added. more

  1. Blake never should have been able to get to the door/knife. There were a lot of problems with the interaction but Blake was not the innocent calm collected individual CNN Claims.

  2. Blake had a felony warrant and had sexually assaulted the woman’s he was harassing who called the police. He was stealing her car with children inside and he fought police, would not obey orders and reached for a weapon. What is controversial about this. Anyway isn’t Blake now a millionaire after a settlement. What exactly is the injustice here.

  3. The injustice here is that cop can perform his job that poorly and there no ramifications for his inability to control that situation. And I really don’t have issues with that. But, probably in the same damn court house, they charge Rittenhouse? It’s bull shit.

  4. Without rehashing all the tactical mistakes this officer made and his failure to “secure” Blake before he got in the car, all of which led to the fatal shooting, I will repeat what I said when this first happened, the circumstances involved did not warrant a murder charge against the officer.

Blake was more than adequately compensated for his pain and suffering, which was of his own doing.

If anything good could come out of this, it’s that police departments through out the country are using this incident, this video to better train their officers, mostly on what NOT to do when confronted with similar circumstances.

It’s also pretty ridiculous that 7 shots did not kill him, probably a 9mm used. Cops should always carry something heavier.

That cop had to of been shooting hard ball. HSTs in 9 would have split him in half. I’ll bet they were all thru and thru.
Sadly if the cop were in Rittenhouse’s place, he would have died. Lil freaken Audie Murphy. There’s some people born to that high intensity stuff and others not so much.
