National Pulse: Former President Jimmy Carter revealed he and his wife will not attend the inauguration of potential President Joe Biden.
A spokesman for Carter wife Rosalynn issued a statement describing why the former first family declined the invite: “President and Mrs. Carter will not travel to Washington for the inauguration but have sent their best wishes to President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris and look forward to a successful administration.” more
Well in all fairness, Biden won’t be there either. Mentally, and hopefully physically.
Even the old style Democrats have standards and things they won’t do.
Hell, isn’t he 100 years old? No matter what we think of him, if you’re 100 years old you don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Seeing those peanuts reminds me of the time my uncle decided to plant a garden full of peanuts. He spent a lot of time tending the crop and at harvest time, my dad joined him in the garden and asked his younger brother how well his peanut crop was expected to produce. My uncle told him the crop was a complete failure and that there wasn’t a single peanut to be harvested. My dad realized what was going on after a moment and grabbed one of the plants and jerked it out of the ground. My dad stood there holding the plant with dozens of peanuts hanging from it. My uncle almost released his bowels with surprise. My dad had the laugh of his life.

Carter is only 96, that’s no excuse to refuse to attend.
