President Trump awards Rep. Jim Jordan the Medal of Freedom, credits his defense during impeachment

FOX:

President Trump on Monday awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rep. Jim Jordan, the Republican from Ohio who has served as a high-profile congressional defender of the Trump throughout his presidency.

A statement from the White House credited Jordan with his efforts to fight back against the Democratic-led impeachment effort against President Trump last year that ended without a conviction in the Senate.

At the beginning of last year, Jordan was named ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee and led the effort to confront the impeachment witch hunt,” the White House said. “He is an inspiration to freedom-loving Americans everywhere and has distinguished himself as one of the most consequential members of Congress of his generation.

The president last week also gave the award to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., another ally in Congress. read more

  1. Bill Belichick made a big to-do the other day in publicly declining to attend his MOF ceremony with the president.

I don’t know his politics so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt in the assumption that public sentiment forced his hand. He did mention the DC riots as the impetus but just like those in the MSM, academia or Hollywood, those involved in sports in any capacity, a particular point of view is mandatory and any deviation from that talking point is a career killer.

Although I think Jim Jordan is just terrific and a great American, Obama pretty much ruined the award when he gave it to clowns like Robert De Niro, Kareem Jabar, Ellen DeGeneris, and Tom Hanks. He sure does love the celebrity adulation.

  2. Jim Jordan deserves it. He has never wavered.
Belichick wants to keep his job.
I’m guessing Goodell and some players told him he’d better decline.
Belichick has actually been friends with Trump for years.

  3. My mother is convinced that either tomorrow or the day after Trump is gonna declare martial law and take down a shadow government. She keeps sending me videos of pastors and such swearing up and down that it is true.

How do I convince her it isn’t?

  4. He took $10,000 from google in 2020, they’ve been contributing to his campaign since 2012 and said he welcomed them exercising their 1st Amendment rights. I wrote him and asked if PPA or NAMBLA kicked in $10Gs, would he say the same thing? He never responded.

Yeah he’s a hell of a twitter and he sure asks big tech CEOs tough questions but where are we again? Oh yeah, it went from Alex Jones getting banned to Laura Loomer(where was old Jim again when that happened to a Republican) to the President.

    Another empty suit

  5. Yeah, he totally failed with the tech assholes. But ALL of them did and most of them took cash.

Specifically, Jordan deserved this medal for what he did to defend Trump. But not just that, to expose the CIA/FBI.

  6. Exposing is one thing and the one guy that really deserves that honor is Nunes(Gaetz too) but what has come of it?

Not a fookin’ thing MJA…oh wait Strok got a gig teaching at Georgetown and .000001% of our country are on track to control what the rest of us can say & do

  7. Good, for Kevin.

Real awesome job. Takes money from google, blows it off and now Pichai censors the President with impunity. And they’re just getting warmed up. Bet your ass that they’ll be getting around to sites like IOTW soon enough.

These guys are charged with protecting our Rule of Law. He’s a fail and indicative of why the whole shebang needs to be burned down.

  8. Well the Nunes failed too, correct? I get your point, and you’re right about the end results. And what we are witnessing is nothing short of Nazi Germany on steroids. I can’t fault Trump for trying to reward some that he felt had his back. The main problem here though is everyone, including Trump, under estimated the swamp. Our only hope is if Trump burns it down on the way out.

  9. “Bet your ass that they’ll be getting around to sites like IOTW soon enough.”

I read yesterday that they plan on blocking URLs for conservative sights shortly after Biden is sworn in. We need to start looking at the dark web.

  10. Nunes was successful in exposing the slime seeking to use our intelligence and law enforcement institutions. God bless him.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take Jim Jordan over most other R Congressmen but talking the talk and walking it are 2 different things. He talked a good game but he reminded me of Gowdy too much. He didn’t stab Trump in the back, I’ll give him that and right now that’s no little thing.

You come across as a results kind of dude. Same with me, all the tough questions in the world don’t mean squat. Some one like Laura Loomer would be in their faces as well as our sides’ and on the Capitol Steps.

He did made very forceful points when he had the chance to speak during the counting the electoral vote.

I’ve moved on from the postmortem. I believe we follow some of the same sight, besides here. Things aren’t good. And they stand to get a lot worse. The FBI is doing their damnedest to set us up as radical gun totting terrorists. We need organization. And they watch everything we type. Hopefully all Patriots stay home on the 21st.
