15. I used to work security for state mental health ops years ago. I hated the job, but the pay and benefits were far better than anything else available to me at the time. The psychiatrists, psychologists, and case workers were some of the most messed up people you ever met — I mean REALLY fucked-in-the-head types — nasty, nasty people. I used to think that they got into the field in an effort to get a grip on their own issues, and then mistakenly believed that it somehow qualified them to help others deal with theirs.
