Texas Gov Pulls National Guard from DC After Troops Forced to Sleep in Parking Garage

Neon Nettle: Texas Republican governor, Greg Abbott, has ordered his state’s National Guard troops to be pulled from Washington D.C. and returned home.

The move follows shocking images that surfaced of National Guardsmen who were forced to sleep on the floor of a parking garage after they were booted from the U.S. Capitol grounds in Democrat-controlled D.C.

Photos of the living conditions the National Guard troops were enduring emerged on Thursday night, just a day after Joe Biden was sworn in as the nation’s 46th president.

“Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service,” a National Guardsmen told Politico.

“Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage.

“We feel incredibly betrayed.” more

  1. And now there is an “outbreak” of Covid among at least 100 of our NG. I would love to know the breakdown of which states the soldiers came from. This was a cluster%#k and they certainly were disrespected but hey, they got cookies from “Doctor” Jill so that should make up for everything.
