Sen. Rand Paul will force the Senate to vote on whether former President Donald Trump’s upcoming impeachment trial is constitutional, the Kentucky Republican said Tuesday.
Paul has railed against the upcoming trail, joining other Republicans who have argued that the trial is unconstitutional since Trump is now a private citizen and consequently exempt from facing removal from office.
“I think there will be enough support on it to show there’s no chance they can impeach the president,” Paul told reporters. “If 34 people support my resolution that this is an unconstitutional proceeding, it shows they don’t have the votes and we’re basically wasting our time.” read more

In four years, Rand Paul never once stood up to force the Senate into recess so that Trump could have his desired cabinet appointments.
Nor did he find his mojo to make any grand speeches objecting to the election fraud (although he’s gone on plenty teewee to blabber about “investigation” (after the fact) and how things have to be fixed going forward.

This is all a mockery of the American people and a betrayal of the Constitution. Every elected democrat in Congress has sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution. Every elected congressional democrat needs to be impeached, tried, and face justice.

Paul had a great 8 minute speech and the 5 gop losers should be ashamed this is a political witch hunt show trial. And Leahy just went to the hospital and he was to preside after Robert’s and Kamala declined. Total joke.
Trey Gowdy had a couple good sound bites too, but I don’t remember him being there when it counted. However when it comes time to run again there’s plenty of video to draw on.
The Senate just gave itself the power to interpret the Constitution …despite the fact that many of them probably cannot spell the word…or read it….
Drag out this trial as long as possible… we don’t want the Villain and his party of henchmen to pass ANY legislation!
Yeah, more bullshit. I didn’t see him doing a dang thing about the election fraud. Again, I get sick of them pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining. Do something when it matters, not run your mouth when it doesn’t.
BTW, I was flipping through channels earlier and saw on the bottom of the screen about impeachment and how Republicans for their safety were wanting a secret vote. It’s too dang bad they aren’t really scared of the People.
