I haven’t watched the video, but I’m guessing that not among the topics is handling a firearm with all of the graceful trigger-discipline of the IMO foreign national that murdered Ashli Babbitt.
YouBoob videos about handling weapons are like watching porn to lean how to fuck.
If you need instruction in weapons handling (you very likely do) you book and pay for instruction on a range.
Do your due diligence in the instructor and the facility. Be prepared to pay real money if you expect real results. The weapon is a minor cost against the ammo and training time necessary to make you anything other than a danger to yourself and others.
Do the work, or set it aside.
Bear in mind, handguns are the MOST difficult weapons to become even proficient, much less master.
Then again, what do I know, I’ve only been doing and teaching this for over forty years.
Lowell, I found your Mesikin Cokes.
I’ll skip the long story and simply point out that Dale from shipping lost his marbles, his business and your Cokes.
You could become a teacher and practice your grip on Zoom calls.
“Lowell, I found your Mesikin Cokes.”
I KNEW those fuckers would show up!
This is a good video. What he doesn’t say is the reason the firm grip is so important is because if you hold it limp wristed (Especially with a 1911) the gun will sometimes not feed the the next round because you absorb some of the recoil force from the slide that is needed to snap the next round into the chamber.
I don’t watch many peeps on handguns. But I do watch Seeklander. I thinks been IDPA champ for a couple years running. Guy knows his shit. Another interesting fact is his brother law is the guy in Montana that got mauled by the same griz twice. Drove himself to the hospital to get stitched up.
He’s after a firm high grip for recoil control. You can only go as fast as it takes to regain your sight pic.
That is true Brad but only if you miss with your first shot.
If you have one target you should have two sight pics. If you have 4 targets, 5 sight pics. etc.
Shoot to thrill.
I’m all for a firm grip.
