After traces of COVID-19 found in wastewater, officials ask Latrobe Homes residents to get tested.
WBAL: Based on testing of wastewater samples, the Housing Authority of Baltimore City is asking residents of Latrobe Homes to get tested for COVID-19.
Working with the Maryland Department of the Environment, housing officials detected elevated levels of COVID-19. This means one or more residents or visitors who have recently used bathrooms there may have contracted the coronavirus.
The city is offering residents free testing from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at the daycare center near 924 Ashland Court. Officials are urging residents to continue to observe routine prevention measures including mask-wearing and social distancing. more
