PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia bike riders won’t need their shirts, pants, skirts or even underwear – just a mask.

Organizers of the annual Philly Naked Bike Ride say this year’s event will take place Aug. 28 and will require masks, based on the city’s earlier coronavirus restrictions.

The city lifted most of its COVID-19 rules this week, citing an increase in vaccinations and a decrease in cases. more

    Anybody who’s ever lived there knows to go naked in late August is probably the best way to dress. From 7/4 to Labor Day, the weather is 90+ degrees with matching humidity. That said, the chafing on those seats must be Hell.

    Even if you’re into that sort of thing.

  4. If they are worried about the virus entering and exiting the mouth and nose, what about the other end?

    I mean, dislodged and wildly-flying dingle berries, crabs, toiler paper fibers, the green apple quick-step droplets, as well as, possible spent COVID-19 virus, etc. in the wind might be an additional health hazard of concern!

    Sounds like a mandatory two-fer, per bike rider, covering both the intake and exhaust, to me.
