About 12 years ago my daughter’s girl scout troop was on a trip and ran into Billy Gibbons in a restaurant. One of the mother leaders recognized him and spoke to him. He was really cool with the girls and signed posters for all of them. My daughter still has her poster.

I listened to so much rock and country, I really don’t listen to any of it anymore, but on occasion, and I like Iron Median. The constant beat of country at work killed it for me, and country mujsic for a while..

…well, since you had to drag poor old ZZ Top into THIS lousy millennium, might as well have them score Toobin’s triumphant return to the tube while they’re here…
But there is no music these days. None. It’s all crap.
I would rather listen to them than any pop/rap star today.
Matter of fact, I will cue them up tomorrow on the Bluetooth as I continue my death struggle with the weed invasion that is overwhelming my garden. Aaaaargh. What is going on?

And I don’t give a shit about Toob in or CNN either.
I am not sure why the wise men or women here give a shit either.
The man and his network are inconsequential.
Stop talking about them. Please.
They don’t matter.

“I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide Is On Your Side” is one of their better hits…
Wait, what?

Ahhh, the little ol’ band from Texas. Saw ’em in concert in 1976; a hell of a show! I think…JK, it was a great concert! 😉

I remember having this 8-track!

Not melodic enough for me. Makes me feel jittery and off balance.

AA, try the title track on the album… “I Thank You”
Aaron — Good lord! That’s got to be the most awfulest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll be sure to show that to GeoffC. He’ll love it!

Abby, it’s a wonderful song. Beautifully arranged, wittily written…… and then Jerry Dammers decided to sing it. sigh.
I do a pretty good country and western version.

Burr under the saddle (aka Bee in her bonnet), with all due respect if the song doesn’t have a catchy melody that you can sing along to or great instrumentals, it really isn’t a song. Yes, this was wittily written, but that’s about all the credit I will give it. But what do I know. I’m ONE OF THEM….!

The horn lines are phat.
I revisit the Carpenter often. What a duo.
