St. Louis’ lead homicide prosecutor quits after her signature was entered on cases while she was on maternity leave

That sounds illegal, doesn’t it?

NBC5Kim Arshi began her maternity leave May 10, but someone put her digital signature on at least 20 homicide cases including one that led to the release of a suspect

Kim Arshi began her maternity leave May 10. But her electronic signature appears on more than 20 cases in court documents listing her as the lead prosecutor – even though she was not in the office and did not sign them herself, according to a source familiar with the cases.

Arshi declined to comment. St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s office has not yet responded to a request for comment.

The I-Team reported on one of the cases Tuesday for which Arshi was entered on after her maternity leave began.

Arshi was a no-show for three hearings on the case.

As a result, the judge dismissed the case because the public defender didn’t get all of the evidence against their client, Brandon Campbell.

Campbell was released from jail Friday, but Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner’s Office did not notify the victim’s family about the developments in the case and issued an erroneous statement saying he remained in custody. more here

Oh, there’s more-

Judge drops murder charges after no show of prosecutor from St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office.

FOX2:
ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is under fire after a judge drops murder charges against an accused killer.

The unusual move came after the prosecutor from Gardner’s office, who was assigned the case, didn’t show up to court. Now the chairman of the St. Louis Aldermanic Public Safety committee wants to call Gardner in front of his committee to explain the incident.

Judge Jason Sengheiser wrote a scathing order dropping the murder charges. The accused killer, Brandon Campbell, was released from jail and is still at large.

The judge noted in his order that the prosecutor who was assigned to the case was on maternity leave for three months and said the office hadn’t replaced her. more

Who is Kim Gardner? She’s the Soros scumsucker who went after then governor Eric Greitens, and
then, the McCloskeys of St. Louis, who had BLM trespassing on their property.

  1. …and, not excusing anyone here, but I work with “electronic signatures” every day as a matter of course, and they are complete bullshit.

There are variations, but legally all you need for an “electronic signature” is someone’s user name and password. That’s it. And your username is always typed in all out in the open and is sometimes visible as long as you logged in, so THAT isn’t a secret.

And all of my operators like to play the blame game, or get access to places they don’t have privileges to, so they like to stand over to the side and watch someone enter passwords so they can use someone else’s “electronic signature” for a variety of reasons, from being able to blame someone else to getting someone else fired to simply getting into places they don’t belong, and if they wreck something while they are there it’s OK because somone else “signed” it.

    I have a cant I go through every time I enroll someone in our system that I practically can recite from rote;

    “Iwillsetupyourusernamebutyouwillhavetoenteryourpasswordyourselfpleaseuseafourdigitnumberorlettercombinationitcanbeanycombinationyoulikebutthisisanelectronicsignatureandwillbelegallyconsideredtobethesameasyousigningyournameonadocumentssopleasedonotshareyourpasswordorallowanyoneelsetoknowit,ifyouthinkithasbeencompromisedpleasetellmeoryoursupervisorsowecanchangeitimmediatelyicannotknoworrecoveryourpasswordifyouloseorforgetityouwillhavetoselectanewonedoyouhaveanyquestions?

They NEVER come to me for password changes, except when they are TOLD to because I saw their password come up on a shift they WERE NOT HERE FOR.

…so to me, the problem is that electronic signatures are worth the paper they’re written on. Democrats love to do things on computers because computers can lie with a straight face that even Bidens can’t manage. They literally can be made to lie at any time, and neither know or care that they are lying, they just do what they are told to do.

    Ask Dominion how THAT works.

…and people tend to believe computers too, even though THERE’S NO REASON TO. In the early days of comupterized battery/electrical system testing when I was working on cars, we had this big roll-around CRT thing that we attached with 10 or a dozen cables to the car and ran through programmed steps from the machine, taking actions as it said to. One thing they couldn’t do at that time was diagnose a diode pattern even though they could SHOW one, so it would stop and show the pattern with the prompts at the bottom of the screen 1 GOOD 2 BAD, meaning press “1” for if you want to tell the machine it’s a GOOD pattern, and “2” if it’s a BAD pattern. I did a LOT of this so I was pretty quick about it.

One time I had a customer rubbernecking in the bay with me, that came up, it was good, so I waved it away and printed the report. The guy looked at this daisy wheel printed thing for a moment, then said “What does 2 BAD mean? What’s 2? Why is it bad? what do I need to make it good?”

…I tried to explain this to him but he just couldn’t get it, neither could he get it when anyone else explained, he just got madder and madder and NO ONE could make “2 BAD” not come up BECAUSE IT WAS A PROGRAMMED REQUEST FOR INPUT, so they ended up giving him everything for free because that’s how Sears went out of business, making stupid managerial decisions like that.

…anyway, I think the real takeaway here is that “electronic signatures” are worthless, but they’re easy to do and easy to lie about, so they’re here to stay.

As with so MANY things, all I can say is, THANKS, DEMOCRATS…

  2. And if you don’t recognize the significance of the Democrat6 machine orchestrating the shutdown of reader comments in practically every major news paper in the country then you are hopeless.
