Biden continued to signal weakeness at his Friday press conference on his disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal decision.
The president took questions for a pre-determined list of reporters. But that didn’t save him from getting grilled by the White House press corps, particularly a Bloomberg reporter named Justin Sink who cast doubt on the president’s judgment.
“Now, Justin Sink of Bloomberg,” the president read from a note card as Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Tony Blinken stood nearby.
“You just said that you would keep a laser focus on counter-terrorism efforts and that you don’t see as great of a threat of terrorism from Afghanistan as other parts of the world,” Sink said, referring to Biden’s recent ABC News interview.
“But if you and your administration so badly misassessed how quickly the Taliban would sweep through Afghanistan, and we no longer have an embassy there from which to run intelligence operations, how can you at all be confident of your assessment of the risk of terrorism and the ability of the U.S. to conduct over the horizon missions to keep it in check?” Sink asked.
“Can you tell Americans that they are safe and that they will remain safe from terror attacks in Afghanistan?” Sink added.
“I think you’re comparing apples and oranges,’ Biden said with a smile as Harris looked on with an expression of concern. more here
Biden is fulfilling his role as a convenient fall guy. He will continue to take the heat for awhile. Then, he’ll be removed after his “use by” date is reached.
We all know the powerful can make anybody quietly go away at any time they wish. Senile old Joe is the perfect fall guy. But just dumb enough to believe he’s some sort of leader.
Biden’s judgement is not an issue – he’s too far gone to have any judgement or clear thinking at all. The Bloomberg guy is a punk who doesn’t see reality. He’s obviously over-dismayed by the guy he voted for and is now feeling sick to his stomach over what’s happened since Biden was elected.
Tough doo-doo punk. Eat it.
