Rare nerve disorder is listed by EU as possible side effect of AstraZeneca vaccine

Just The News: The European Medicines Agency (EMA) listed Guillain-Barré syndrome as a “very rare” side effect of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday.

The EMA, which is the European Union’s medicine regulator, listed Guillain-Barré syndrome as a possible side effect of AstraZeneca’s Vaxzevria vaccine, after 833 cases were reported from the 593 million doses that were administered by July 31, Reuters reported.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare, auto-immune disorder that causes the body to attack itself and damage its nerves, according to The Hill.

The U.S. has not approved the AstraZeneca vaccine for emergency use. more here

  1. I think they only say rare when there become far too many to cover up, so they manipulate the numbers to say it’s only this many out of so many shots given. If it was truly rare they wouldn’t ever mention a word of it.

  2. Rare enough that there is enough to report that it’s “rare.”How rare is it to the person who suffers from it? That’s what infuriates me about the vax tyrants and their Science-the only science they follow is a political one.

Good on the EU-they seem to be the only ones willing to report actual worrisome numbers. In August they started investigating a skin disorder and two kidney problems related to the MRNA jabs.

  3. My friend’s husband had this vaccine and within hours was completely paralyzed and in ICU. He was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré and the doctor told him it was definitely caused by the vaccine. Although he’s slowly recovering, he’ll be in rehab for up to four months.

  4. The exact cause of Guillain-Barre syndrome isn’t known. The disorder usually appears days or weeks after a respiratory or digestive tract infection. Rarely, recent surgery or vaccination can trigger Guillain-Barre syndrome. Recently, there have been cases reported following infection with the Zika virus. Guillain-Barre syndrome may occur after infection with the COVID-19 virus. It’s also a rare reaction in those who receive the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

In Guillain-Barre syndrome, your immune system — which usually attacks only invading organisms — begins attacking the nerves. In AIDP, the most common form of Guillain-Barre syndrome in the U.S., the nerves’ protective covering (myelin sheath) is damaged. The damage prevents nerves from transmitting signals to your brain, causing weakness, numbness or paralysis.

    Risk factors
Guillain-Barre syndrome can affect all age groups. But your risk increases as you age. It’s also more common in males than females.

Guillain-Barre syndrome may be triggered by:

Most commonly, infection with campylobacter, a type of bacteria often found in undercooked poultry
    Influenza virus
    Cytomegalovirus
    Epstein-Barr virus
    Zika virus
    Hepatitis A, B, C and E
HIV, the virus that causes AIDS
    Mycoplasma pneumonia
    Surgery
    Trauma
    Hodgkin’s lymphoma
Rarely, influenza vaccinations or childhood vaccinations
    COVID-19 virus
    COVID-19 Johnson & Johnson vaccine

    I’d go with phizer

  5. With all the shit I was exposed to and infected with over all my years, I think I’ll just stick with my own hardened immune system and a few vitamins! For a prophylaxis I take Quinine in the form of Gin and Tonic!

I have side effects from time to time in the form of a hangover!
