Post Millennial: Controversial American rapper Nikki Minaj expressed her COVID vaccine hesitancy in a series of tweets Thursday, leading to protests by several of her supporters outside the CDC headquarters in Atlanta.
“We are here because the CDC has been lying to us for too long,” said one protestor to a reporter on the ground. “[Minaj] stood up and said ‘I am questioning this vaccine,’ and we should all question this vaccine.”
When asked if he had seen Minaj’s latest series of tweets, the man said, “I’ve seen all of them!”
“Fauci lied to me,” the group could then be heard chanting, among other similar slogans.
Minaj first tweeted how the recent Met Gala wasn’t worth her getting vaccinated, stating she would get the vaccine “once I feel I’ve done enough research” and that she was “working on that now.”
Minaj’s Twitter account was suspended following the Twitter tirade. She asked the public what “scared y’all so much” to justify getting her account disabled. more
