News Thud: Joe Biden, like most Democrat officials, wears a mask inconsistently. The “no mask” and the ‘yes mask” have no connection to what they say about the “why mask” reasons. No: baseball game, party, talking to press. Yes: Photo ops, third vaccine dose, walking up to same press.
Actually it’s not inconsistent at all, of course. He does it when it’s for virtue signaling and not when it’s inconvenient. Knowing that, journalist Sharyl Attkisson put the somewhat rhetorical question to Twitter after watching Biden approach reporters while masked and then take it down to spray spittle in their faces while he yells at them about questioning him. Enter Costco via the exit with mask on. Buys a mocha smoothie at the deli. Exits the deli and walks past the greeter with mask around left ear drinking from straw from McDonalds in smoothie. McDonald’s will give you a handful just for asking and they are big enough to actually drink a smoothie from without it bridging and clogging the straw, I put one on top of my ear when I get out of the car to enter Costco. Walks around Costco shopping with mocha smoothie in hand, mask hanging from left ear the entire time. The only reaction from others is the frequent thumbs up from other shoppers.
I was in a store called Target with my son yesterday too. Everyone except my son and I had their masks on. We are in line to check out and the clerk said the woman two places in front of us wants to pay for his new Nerf Gun and asks for it so she can scan it. I thought she only wanted to know what it cost, but she paid for it. Said she really appreciated seeing a man who minds his own business, just ignores all of the bullying and doesn’t give a flying fuck what anyone else is doing or thinks. I guess she had been watching us since we walked in.
Was at another store called Home Depot at the service desk dealing with the Manager regarding my credit card not working. My car was broken into Tuesday and my cards are all locked down tighter than a tick right now. Guy asks about me not wearing a mask and the Manager tells him he had never seen me in a mask ever and he sees me in there at least twice per week. Another shopper tells Nosy Parker to go to fucking McClendons if he has a problem with Home Depot leaving others alone and he can get his control freak itch scratched there.
I think that the mask bullshit is about done with. I hope so anyway.
