VIRGINIA: McAuliffe Lies About His Kids Attending Public School To Justify “Experts” Controlling Education

BIG LEAGUE POLITICS

Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe praised his state’s education system on Sunday, saying he raised five children there even though four of them went to private high schools.

Education has been a major focus of the race between McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin as both candidates have been at odds on their stances regarding parental involvement in school curriculums, with McAuliffe espousing the view that the taxpayer-funded school administrators know what’s good for schoolchildren more than their mother or fathers do.

“We have a great school system in Virginia. Dorothy and I have raised our five children,” McAuliffe said on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” during an interview where he slammed Youngkin’s positions on education.

While it is likely true that McAuliffe raised his kids in Virginia, he neglected to mention that four out of his five children were sent to private high schools. MORE

  1. He’s a liberal. Liberals have lied to America for at least 70 years, probably forever

A liberal lie probably all IOTW readers remember “I’m a compassionate conservative”.

  2. Terry’s political (and probably male) role model is/was Hilaria (2 assholes with one pun) Clinton. It seems that he’s been to her school of political facts.

  3. ….and by this time tomorrow night he’ll be governor of Virginia, by way of fraud.

Interestingly enough, if Terry McAwful actually loses will he cry election fraud? I don’t think he can because that would be against the Democrat narrative that there’s no such thing.

    Right?

  4. There are two non-mutually exclusive kinds of democrats:

    1. Assholes who tell preposterous lies.

    2. Assholes who believe stupid, preposterous lies because they choose to because they’re cultist dumb fucks.

  5. The fact somewhat IS that people have given the state the ability to decide the school curricula.
But the assumption was that they would use that right to maximize the teaching of reading, writing, math, and the other traditional educational disciplines.
But the state failed. They did not stick to the plan. They started doing indoctrination instead of teaching.
So now the parents are taking back the rights to select the curricula for their children.
