Republican Mike Carey wins special election for the US House seat in Ohio’s 15th District

FOX: It was a split decision between Democrats and Republicans in two special congressional elections in Ohio – and the parties held primaries in a district in Florida – to fill vacant seats in the House of Representatives.

Republican Mike Carey is the winner of a Special Election for the seat in Ohio’s 15th Congressional District, the Associated Press projected on Tuesday night.. 

Carey, a longtime energy lobbyist and the chair of the Ohio Coal Association, defeated Democrat Allison Russo in the race to fill a seat left vacant after longtime Republican Rep. Steve Stivers stepped down in May to become president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. more here
