“Senator Karen” Is Now Blaming Grocery Conglomerates For Skyrocketing Food Prices

DW: Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has taken to blaming large grocery store chains for food prices that have skyrocketed and persistently remained high in recent weeks.

“Giant grocery store chains force high food prices onto American families while rewarding executives & investors with lavish bonuses and stock buybacks. I’m demanding they answer for putting corporate profits over consumers and workers during the pandemic,” Warren tweeted on Monday.

Spurred by a supply-chain crisis born of massive pandemic-related shutdowns, inflation reached its highest point in nearly four decades this November. MORE

  1. We need to impose a death penalty for anyone lying to her constituency.
Lies from public officials undermine the Republic, and therefore, are Treason.

    Seems obvious.

Yeah, federal government currency printing presses running at full capacity has nothing to do with inflation. Even this story attempting to expose Sen Karen’s lies, is using more lies.

  3. Millions of Americans are investors, probably including her. I have a small fortune in stocks and bonds. I came from a working class background and have done some hard manual labor in my time. Yet I have prospered and am currently in pretty good shape, economically. When taxes go up, as Warren is pushing, I won’t be in such good economic shape. If my assets decrease in value my relatives and the human and animal charities that we like to support will get less from my estate.

It would be helpful if squaw-woman would curl up in her teepee and take a very long nap.

  4. @Roger – I looked it up. She’s up for reelection in 2024, so it could be either that or a presidential run. Still, this seems a little early for a 2024 campaign. I guess it’s never too early to pad your resume.

I’m demanding they answer for putting corporate profits over taxpayers and for not being patriotic by giving their vaccines free (at no charge) to the government taxpayers!

  6. Grocery stores make between 1/2 and 1 and 1/2 % profit when they are run well. Grocery conglomerates probably make barely more than that due to economy of scale driven down by high compliance costs and the perishable nature of their goods. I don’t think that Warren is an idiot, she’s proven herself an inveterate liar and all around piece of filth.
