  1. Live by the train, die by the train…

…it’s a testament to his belief in the system he built that he was confident the train wouldn’t stall when it hit him, tho…

  2. That said, are we sure he wasn’t pushed?

After all, he may have angered a Clinton,

Or had a copy of Ashley Biden’s diary.

Or a copy of the John Roberts pictures from Epstein Island…

  3. Yup, I am not looking to commit suicide, but I suppose stepping in front of a train would be quick.

I can understand the thought process. I have been diagnosed as depressed. But, I would never contemplate suicide. Why is the blue h – e – double hockey sticks would you leave those who love you, and even remotely know you with that stigma.

  4. I know a former CTO of MARTA. She got out alive, but the deep despair which emanated from her when recounting the deadwood, nepotism and incompetence of MARTA management and the utter futility of firing anyone still makes me shiver occasionally. Poor Mr. Parker. Not everyone can carry the weight of the Third World.

Like the gambler said, know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, know when to run. And stay the hell away from the train.

  5. I saw a guy who killed himself with a freight train. Laid down on the railroad tracks at night just around a bend, left a note in his car and everything. Sectioned him up pretty good, not evenly tho, maybe he tried to move at the last minute. Wasn’t as cleanly chopped as you’d think, it probably hurt, but not for long. Still, you’d have to be pretty comitted or very drunk to just lay there until this giant mass of rumbling steel discs you into convenient pieces, I didn’t get to see the note so I don’t know what sucked so bad in his life that makes being Ginsu’d by rolling stock a happy alternative…

  6. No I’m serious. I have no plans of googling the sumbitch either.

I don’t watch the news. It ain’t baseball season….so…no idea why I would ever hear his voice.

  7. Add jumping in front of a train to Lt. Frank Drebin’s list: “ A parachute not opening… that’s a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine… having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that’s the way I wanna go!”

  9. I recall a case in Colorado where a guy with a terminal disease that happened to be a photography nut, set up a camera to record his suicide by train when he laid his head across a rail…now THAT was creative!
