Connecticut woman tells kids to stay in basement and eat candy while she’s in Florida: charge

MSN: A Connecticut middle-school teacher is accused of telling her kids to stay in the basement and eat candy while she vacationed in Florida with her boyfriend.

An affidavit alleges Kerry Caviasca left her children, 9 and 11, to fend for themselves in November while she headed south for a long weekend. She was arrested Saturday on charges including reckless endangerment.

The 36-year-old educator said she left her brother to look after the young boy and girl, but investigators claim texts between the suspect and the children, which were provided by her ex-husband, say otherwise. read more

  1. Middle school teacher. That said it all. Most of my junior high teachers, and staff, were psychotic — and if they weren’t, they were headed there.

I was home alone for two weeks. After running out of food, I subsisted on frozen Christmas chocolates. I was 21, and lazy.

  2. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the logical destination of “me time.” I remember seeing that slob Oprah’s show when I was a kid and feeling sorry for anyone who is unlucky enough to be connected with the harridans that were justifying their narcissism with the most transparent of pretext while The Oprah slobbered, cooed and made pity faces and the audience moaned along and then clapped their approval.

  3. When I was in 7th Grade (around 1959) I had an English teacher named Miss Matthews… I’ll never forget her. She’d sit on top of her desk facing the class and pull her skirt up to reveal the tops of her stockings. I sure paid attention to her and I’m also sure she’s the reason I despise panty hose.

  4. Oh, c’mon man! The “small children” were 9 and 11 years-old! In some parts of the world — the ones the Woke crowd insist are equal in culture to the U.S. and the west — they’re old enough to be married. No harm, no foul.
