I was born & raised Catholic but I can barely tolerate being in a Catholic Church during a family/friends wedding.
My wife is Jewish, and although & do not Practice, when I rarely am at a Synagogue I often find myself reading the Left side of their prayer books. (English on the Left side Hebrew on the Right of the page)
It actually speaks to me and is obviously very Old Testament in its tone & message.
I could never convert though: Pork, Meat & Milk, lobster, Crab etc. I have very Italian & North American Food tastes plus their wine tastes like +!@#$%&*!

Note that the Roman Catholics were the dissenters and revolutionaries who split themselves off from the rest of the Catholics. Now, look where it got them!

Addendum: While the Orthodox observe periodic times of fasting, “fasting” doesn’t mean not eating at all. Plus, there are no outright food prohibitions such as the Jews observe.

I don’t understand being a lifelong anything with regard to religion. The Bible does not teach a religion, it teaches God’s word, it teaches truth. It starts there and ends there without labels.

When the Vatican opens the grounds and provides people with an actual place of refuge, I’ll view that as Christian charity.
As long as “Catholic Charities” takes taxpayer money from government to “resettle” people where they’re not wanted, I won’t.
