Just the News: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday launched a “special military operation” against Ukraine that he claimed was focused on the eastern region of Donbas, but Western leaders decried the aggressions as rocket fire hit multiple cities including the capital Kyiv.

The Ukraine government said Russian tanks and troops rolled across the border in a “full-scale war” that appears largely led by air attacks.
“Russian equipment made a breakthrough in the Kiev region,” Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement shortly after 1:00 p.m. local time. “Border guards together with the Ukrainian military accepted the battle,” the agency said, as translated by Google.
The Russian military claimed to have wiped out Ukraine’s entire air defenses in a matter of hours, according to the Associated Press. more
Putin’s military strategists are exercising this offensive with far more calculated humanitarian precision than Biden did with his withdrawal from Afghanistan.
