SARASOTA, Fla. (WPBF) — A massive gator was spotted walking through a Florida neighborhood on Easter.The Sarasota Sheriff’s Office said a gator that was at least 10-feet long was sauntering through a local neighborhood near Harrington Lake in Venice. WATCH

Goldenfoxx : I came face to face on a corner of a trail on my dirt bike with a medium sized buck, I dropped the bike and boogied out of there, looked back as he hooked my clutch cable and ripped it clean off the bars. Smoked a cigarette before I went back for the bike. Them brutes aren’t afraid of humans.

  2. *yawn* Not really all that newsworthy for us Sarasotans. That gator was simply looking for a little action: this is mating season! Courtship begins in April and the actual reptilian boinking takes place in May and June. We’re used to seeing the occasional wandering gator this time of year.

    BTW, what the article calls Harrington Lake is just another storm-water catchment pond. It’s only two miles from our home.
