A New York judge said Wednesday he’s close to releasing former President Trump from a contempt finding if he meets certain conditions, including paying $110,000 in accrued fines for not turning over documents in a civil investigation.
Judge Arthur Engoron said he will conditionally lift the contempt finding if by May 20 Trump pays the fines and submits additional affidavits on his company’s document retention policies and efforts to search for records and a company he hired to aid the search completes its work, according to the Associated Press. more
