CTH-
As we contemplate the massive $40 billion transfer of U.S. taxpayer funds to Ukraine, a few things need to be emphasized.
First, congress has decided to pay the salaries, benefits and pensions of Ukraine political officials and citizens. As U.S. citizens try and figure out how to afford housing, gasoline, food and basic goods, congress has decided to subsidize another country. That’s the first point.
Second, as to the pragmatic question of “to what end?” There was a critical point made last week by Defense Intel Agency (DIA) Director Lt. Gen. Scott Berrier, that not a single media outlet or politician discussed. During his briefing to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Berrier was asked “can Ukraine win” the conflict against Russia?
Lt. General Berrier replied: “That is a difficult predication to make. I think where the assessment is at, is a prolonged stalemate should no factor change on either side. In other words, the Russians continue to do what they’re doing, and we continue to do what we are doing for the Ukranians.” more
I tried, but I just can’t put into words what an appalling mess this has all become. Thanks a lot, Joe, you corrupt senile perverted fuck…
None of this bullshit of ‘giving’ money to Ukraine: half if it is coming back in the form of bribes to every democrat and GOPe rat and union in America.
@ Heatsync
Why are you being so easy on Joe?
So, it’s generally a Charlie Foxtrot then. Got it.

But! You’re still voating!? Right!?
Don’t blame this all on Biden. My congressman, from a deep Red area in Northeast California, Doug LaMalfa, voted to send my money to Ukraine also. He will be hearing from me. Ironically his campaign motto is “he is one of us”. In a pigs ass.
Let Ukraine Die
Bye Bye Miss American Pie…….
LTG Berrier said nothing we didn’t already know, Hell Lloyd Austin just said that the goal was to wear Russia down, not win. The Congressional junketeers who were in Ukraine say they’re in it to win it, , but they gave no definition of what constitutes a win.
The PTB want a stalemate. Winning is for chumps. Chronic, low-intensity conflict provides a steady income stream for the war merchants, diplomacy for the diplomats and war porn for the journos. But only if your enemy is in on the kayfabe. And I’m afraid that Russia is not going to take a dive for the deep state.
Anonymous, you first!
The war, people, isn’t Russia against Ukraine, it’s us against the Federal government.
