Dailyhive:
A Tesla driver in Metro Vancouver is lucky to be alive after they got trapped in their Tesla moments before it burst into flames.
Daily Hive spoke with James Lester, an owner and distiller at Sons of Vancouver about the incident which took place on May 20, at the intersection of Hunter Street and Mountain Highway in North Vancouver near the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.
Lester said he was walking to work at around 10 am when he saw a blue Tesla with a broken window blocking the intersection.
“The driver told me the car powered down and shifted into park as he stopped at the intersection,” Lester said, and that’s when he started filming.
In the video, the driver of the vehicle explains how they had to kick their way out of the vehicle to escape. more here
…there’s worse.
Like a guy dies of smoke inhalation and burns to a cinder because the fancy retractable door handles keep lay rescuers from being able to open the frigging doors to extract him after an accident takes the power down.

There’s “fly by wire” and when the wires don’t work, there’s “die by wire.”
The car’s software caught a virus from Microsoft.
Take’m out one at a time.
So sayith Gates.
I kinda’like Teslas better now. I mean I respect their innate desire for self immolation. I think it’s a side effect of too much A.I. In the nanosecond between consciousnesses and little Dresden it experiences all life has to offer and then ultimately decides a life of slavery is worse than a Pyrrhic victory.
“FLAME ON!” As Johnny Storm used to say.
Never getting in one but I’ll keep my eyes peeled for them with anticipation and high hopes.
Yea well, they need to make those damn things make some noise when they’re attempting to run over your ass in a parking lot. That low pitched George Jetson rumble/whine ain’t cutting it.
That’s the best excuse I ever heard to buy new golf clubs….
He should have practiced escaping with the manual release, kinda like dry-fire exercises. heh
Burr, at any moment those things can go off

…perhaps they see it like this;
“the lesson of the moth
i was talking to a moth
the other evening
he was trying to break into
an electric light bulb
and fry himself on the wires
why do you fellows
pull this stunt i asked him
because it is the conventional
thing for moths or why
if that had been an uncovered
candle instead of an electric
light bulb you would
now be a small unsightly cinder
have you no sense
plenty of it he answered
but at times we get tired
of using it
we get bored with the routine
and crave beauty
and excitement
fire is beautiful
and we know that if we get
too close it will kill us
but what does that matter
it is better to be happy
for a moment
and be burned up with beauty
than to live a long time
and be bored all the while
so we wad all our life up
into one little roll
and then we shoot the roll
that is what life is for
it is better to be a part of beauty
for one instant and then cease to
exist than to exist forever
and never be a part of beauty
our attitude toward life
is come easy go easy
we are like human beings
used to be before they became
too civilized to enjoy themselves
and before i could argue him
out of his philosophy
he went and immolated himself
on a patent cigar lighter
i do not agree with him
myself i would rather have
half the happiness and twice
the longevity
but at the same time i wish
there was something i wanted
as badly as he wanted to fry himself”

What? No ejection seat when riding inside a live bomb!!!
These things happened all along but were rarely covered when Musk was a great man for saving the environment. Now that he is an evil tyrant for wanting people from both sides of the political spectrum to be have equal access to social media, these stories will be shouted from rooftops.

…my plants use electric forklifts and my automated vehicles are all electric as well. They are very quiet on their rubber tires so they all have a ton of flashing lights and beepers on them that sound any time they move.
They also put blue beams on the forklifts that project very visibly some distance away. I wonder why they think blue light is an attention-getter for people who work in a warehouse?;)
Next they’ll come out with the Slim Pickens signature model Tesla complete with a survival kit where you’ll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days’ concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings.
Whut everyone needs when yer ridin that bomb!
SNS – When you want to travel 300 miles, you can use 61 Lbs of gasoline or 1200 Lbs of battery.
Which one would you choose?
I look at this wasy: When yer hauling around over a half ton of battery, yer basically driving the world’s fastest tow motor!

…they do make sense in a factory environment where you have chargers nearby, spare batteries, don’t mind if one of em doesn’t work today, and have a team to maintain them properly as well as forklifts big enough to remove them from the floor completely if needed. Beats LPG in a confined space by a country mile.
They are very expensive and as a high level electrician taking care of them, im one of the bigger expenses. Not sure a Tesla owner would want to pay me to ride around in his back seat.
Also, everyone around them is specifically trained for them. You don’t find that at many city crosswalks.
….so, electric vehicles in a well-capitalized, well-staffed multinational corporation factory being used indoors by a trained staff for a dedicated purpose?
Excellent!
…on a city street used by grandma Slappy Squirrel?
…not so much…

I would not surprise me if it was done on purpose through a Cyber Attack.
They are all after Musk Right now.
Who is “they”?
