Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp wins GOP primary for second term

Just The News: Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Tuesday night won the state’s GOP primary for the governor’s seat, sending him to the general election to seek a second term. 

Kemp was backed by former Vice President Mike Pence, while Perdue was backed by former President Trump.

The Associated Press project Kemp to be the winner at about 8:40 p.m. Eastern time

Kemp will now face Democrat nominee Stacey Abrams, who ran unopposed, in a rematch of their 2018 contest. more

  1. At least they had a primary, cheated or not. It isn’t far of a stretch to consider the GOP may be funneling their corrupt candidates for governor, they didn’t give us a chance in VA.

  4. We are screwed. A Rino who has failed to uphold the oath of office during his recent term or a socialist who obtained millionaire status during her first failed attempt running for governor. Out of state money for the Dems is coming in like crazy as the ads and robo calls are almost non-stop.
