Elon Musk Says Twitter Is ‘Resisting’ Terms of Deal, Threatens Termination

EPOCH TIMES:
Elon Musk is accusing Twitter of “resisting and thwarting” his ability to obtain information about bot accounts on the social media website, saying that it’s a “breach” of the terms of their April deal.

Musk, the world’s richest person, sent a letter to the San Francisco-based firm on June 6.

“Mr. Musk reserves all rights resulting therefrom, including his right not to consummate the transaction and his right to terminate the merger agreement,” the letter reads.

Several weeks ago, the Tesla CEO accused Twitter of allowing a significant number of automated or “bot” accounts on the platform and demanded that the company release that data to him.

In late April, Twitter’s board and Musk jointly announced that he would purchase the social media company for $44 billion and take it private. The deal could take months to finalize, and Musk has publicly stated that it’s not entirely confirmed that he’ll actually buy Twitter.

After the letter was released on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s website, shares of Twitter dropped 1.5 percent. MORE

  1. I don’t think Musky ever intended on going through with the purchase. I think his goal was to destroy Twitter. And it looks like he’s going to do it. This guy is very entertaining.

  2. ^^^^^^^

There’s a lot of “rumors” floating around that he’s working with Trump. I like to sit back a watch to see what the end results are. Notice when Trump fired off insults at Musky, he didn’t respond. We’ll probably never know for sure.

  3. He has been maneuvering the Board of Directors and officers into a breach of fiduciary duty box. I am not sure if this is by design, but it looks to be the case.

  4. It’s hilarious reading all the unbelievably stupid posts by wokester shitbags who don’t grasp the difference between a privately owned company and a publicly traded one. Only the corrupt feds are protecting Twatter from a fully justified stockholder lawsuit for the deliberate tanking of what would’ve been a highly profitable buyout for stockholders.

And all so they can provide a safe place for assholes like WaPo’s Felicia iSonmedz to badger and slander her own colleagues over a fucking joke.

  5. Please pull my finger, got ya, outta the electrical sockets. With a head of hair like that he’d be an excellent choice for cleaning out sewer pipes. Elon is just using stalling tactics, he never intended to ever buy Twitter. Twitter never wanted to sell, until some rich idiot offered way more than it was ever worth. Twitter will want their 1 billion dollar pay-out from him for backing out. Elon wanting fake Twitter accounts accounting most likely was never part of his original contract to buy them out. Elon will lose if that is the case.

    MOST LIKELY.

    What a fucking moron.
