  1. Here’s the deal on Eastern WA this year: I was in central WA, the Seattle morons mostly refer to everything east if the cascade summit as Eastern WA, in May. Feed corn was an inch and a half high and the alfalfa growers had yet to make their first cut. By that time feed corn should have been a foot and a half or more high and they should have had their first cutting baled and stacked. Corn will not germinate at temperatures under 55 degrees and cold weather and overcast skies had set back the alfalfa crops. So much for “global warming.”

Central WA, lies pretty much between the east Cascade summit and the Columbia River.

FWIW, the absolute worst “journalist” in the State is not at the Seattle Times, that honor goes to Matt Driscoll at The News Tribune a Tacoma paper whose offices and printing plant used to occupy a large luxury campus, complete with gymnasiums and luxurious meeting rooms and covered about three or four city blocks. It is now located in what was the small, windowless shipping and receiving/overstock room in the back of of a now defunct tennis shoe retail store in a strip mall. A stone cold natural fact I remind Matt Driscoll of every opportunity I get.

  2. Note the blue in their map on the Peninsula. I take that to mean waaay above normal wet because it’s still fucking raining here. Every day this week save 1/2 of 1 has been drizzly to raining good.
