Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin finished atop the Alaska special Republican congressional primary in early results released Sunday, advancing to the general election in the race to succeed the late Rep. Don Young.
Palin, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, finished atop the field of 48 candidates with nearly 30% of the early ballots counted, followed by fellow Republican Nick Begich at 19.3%, surgeon Al Gross, an independent, and Democratic state legislator Mary Peltola at about 7.5%.
The results could change somewhat as Alaska keeps counting the mail-in ballots, but the top four finished will advance to the general election slated for Aug. 16. more here
Getting 30% or more of the vote when there are 48 candidates bodes will for Palin. Even with their stupid ranked choice voting.
The fact that she was paired to run with McCain, would leave me to believe she’s a RINO.
Alaskans are very much dependent on the internal combustion engine for driving, boating, and flying. The state simply could not function off the unicorn fart pipe dreams being rammed down the country’s throats by asshole democrats. It literally is a matter of life or death up there. They won’t send a fucking democrat to their lone House seat.
Maybe she can debate Don Young on Chuck Todd’s show.
McCain hated her. He wanted the Tea Party conservative vote.
