Russian Oil Revenue Returns to Pre- Sanction Levels in May

CTH: Western sanctions against Russia have been used primarily to obfuscate the cause of western inflation and keep the citizen pitchforks from reaching various government offices. So far, the strategy -assisted by western media- has been mostly successful.

However, the International Energy Agency (IEA) is reporting that despite the western sanctions against Russia, the Russian energy sector is having no trouble finding customers for its oil sales.  With global oil prices at their highest rates in years, in part driven by the energy policy of the same western leaders who triggered the sanctions, Russia is getting just as much economic benefit as it was before the sanctions regime was triggered.

(EU FINANCE) – Russia continued to rake in oil revenues in May despite a global boycott from companies and most countries following its invasion of Ukraine, a new report has shown.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) said the Kremlin’s oil-export revenues surged to around $20bn last month, an 11% increase from the month before, despite shipping lower volumes. more

  1. Even worse is the cost of food. If grocery prices were displayed on signs outside the stores like gas prices are, then there WOULD be pitchforks in the streets.

  2. “Russia continued to rake in oil revenues in May despite a global boycott from companies and most countries following its invasion of Ukraine, a new report has shown.”

Yeah, bullshit. 145 countries voted against the war at the UN, but only 45 imposed sanctions. And most of the boycotts are stupid, meaningless stuff, like soccer games, broadway shows, classical music performances and vodka.

Why anyone is shocked to find that Russia is thriving amid sanctions and boycotts is beyond me. This passive-aggressive, toothless, symbolic crap never works.

Well, I shouldn’t say “toothless”, because it sure has come back to bite us in the ass.

  3. And yet they claim “Donald Trump and his allies and supporters are a clear and present danger to American democracy.”
    What BULLSHIT.
I guess we’ll find out when the November election is canceled.

  4. How long before they add Monkey Pox to the blame list for inflation and the recession?

Next up: Wage and price controls…because they have been so successful in the past.

  5. Now that we Know(TM) why the pitchforks remain dusty in the closet (this, the current, month), we can lube our guns, remain shoeless, and congratulate ourselves. For bravely keeping our pitchforks dusty. And guns… slick.

    WINNING!

  6. Another thing we can blame on Putin is illegal immigration. Apparently, the Russian army has refused to police the US/MEX border. So, blame the border crisis and everything else on Vlad.

  7. fnuck, I’ll wager you of all people can’t afford to go off half cocked. So, yeah, you’re right. Millions are waiting. And the important thing is that they are increasingly informed and ready.

We’ll start with one last chance to reset our Congress as outlined in our Constitution.

    “Free Beer! Tomorrow.”

There is nothing wrong with having no “line to cross”. But it is important, when planning — not preying — for a future, to understand where the “lines” are.

We will never upset our dole cart. Ever. Is a perfectly workable “line”. Just remember where you put it.

  9. Timing is everything, fnuck. I remind myself to keep my own cynicism at bay while hoping the Constitutional tools our forefather gave us will work when we need them most.

Because if they don’t, there’s plenty of time for drawing lines and slitting throats. And plenty of people like us to do it.

The Constitution (which re-enslaved Americans, to foreign thrones), is why we are here. Sparkle on, you shiny diamond!
