“As a mother, my life has been destroyed. Joseph was murdered by a criminal that should have been in jail,” she said. She went on to criticize Dist. Atty. George Gascón for policies she said prioritize criminals over cops.

LAT: The rookie and his training officer knocked on the door of an El Monte motel room, where they’d been called to investigate a report of domestic violence.

Once they got the victim out of the room, Officer Joseph Santana went in, followed by his training officer, Cpl. Michael Paredes. Justin Flores, the man inside, backed himself into the bathroom, law enforcement sources told The Times.

Within about 12 seconds, one source said, Flores ambushed the officers with gunfire. Paredes went down first. Coroner’s officials said both officers died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The killings brought grief and heartache to the suburb east of downtown L.A., where both officers grew up and chose to stay as first responders. “They’re El Monte homegrown,” Mayor Jessica Ancona said this week. “They’re our boys.” more

  1. They’ve intentionally left something out here. Like most media coverage. The “Hostage” was the guys GF. She split because he started beating her. Went to the local no tell motel and he found her there and beat her some more. Here’s the important shit, she told both officers, he’s armed, he doesn’t care if he dies, don’t go in. He wasn’t going fucking anywhere. Why not wait for more guns and better protection.

  2. “ In 2020, Flores was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and methamphetamine.”

Felon in possession of a firearm should net 25 years in prison, no parole, no early release. No discretion on filing charges and any DA or employee of the DAs office that does not make a good faith effort to convict and is found to have deliberately compromised the case serves the 25 under the same terms.

  3. It gets even better.

Apparently the Soros prosecutor is trying to sneak and pay for the funeral of this cop killer who took the guns from the police he just killed to try to kill more police…

…this guy had no business outside of stone walls and iron bars. Democrat politics is celebrating the murders of two more police officers tonight, as satans minions contine their war on all that is decent for power and profit.

    Damn them all to hell.

“Don’t blame the DA and courts. Elections have consequences. The ignorant, self-centered voters voted for criminals to be on the streets.”

    …yeahhh, they “voted” for them!

    Let’s go with that!

Totally, legitimately, 100% fairly voted for them using the mostest secureiest electioneering equipment EVAH! Noooo possibly of cheatieness, nossir!

    I like it!

    *giggle!*

  5. Two years ago the guy was charged with being a felon in possession of a gun but he was not in prison last week.

I know how to solve the gun problem: take guns away from law abiding citizens instead of punishing felons for breaking laws that already exist. That will do it. Ya sure you becha!
