[Why was the internet invented?]
Amazon have admitted providing the police with user footage from its Ring camera doorbell product, displaying the increased collaboration between big tech and police agencies. This, as we know the FBI have secured thousands of deals thousands of deals with Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, IBM and Hewlett Packard. – story here
GOOD!
BAD!
Govt entities are bypassing their 4th Amendment restrictions by not doing the spying themselves but by buying spy data from commercial entities. This should be illegal.
It’s beyond me why people buy stuff like this or Alexa, you’re inviting Big Tech right into your home. But then again, smart phones.
(sigh… at least I don’t have to apologize to Mr. Montoya)
“Collaborate”. That word absolutely. Does. Not. Mean. What you lie it means.
The Party. Creates an organization. That exsits. Only on Party paperwork. For only as long as The Party allows it. To. Exist.
That is a Party office. The FBI does not “collaborate” with the DEA. (Occasionally) Different pockets. In the same Party pants. The Party created Amazon can not “collaborate” with the police. They are all Party offices. Not merely “by design”. But by temporal existence!
Agreed, Bill. Anyone who invites Big Tech in to their homes for “convenience” is paying to be spied on. I am scoffed at by my friends for installing light switches instead of phone apps. I have a Hoover, not a Rhomba, and my refrigerator can’t tell anyone what temperature it’s set to. Nothing in my home can be programed, (or disabled) remotely.
Buy your own security system and NOT from amazon. Add that amazon admins don’t want their deliverers and carriers exposed for any wrongdoing, delivery negligence, destruction of property, or supposed “delivery”. If a buyer posts a review on the amazon review-your-item section, they will not allow any comments regarding amazon’s failures of deliveries. I tried it when a carrier lasership) failed to leave my package, which was in his hand, with the amazon phone agent claiming said package was “lost” (???). Suspicious since my security camera pictured him with the item in his hand yet didn’t submit it to the delivery area. Funny how “suddenly” the package appeared the next day.
It’s like the data/cell spying on US citizens by our Alphabet Agencies (AA)…..
By law if an AA is forbidden to spy on you or inside the US….so the AA collects the data and hires contractors to actually do the searches or spy on you and give the results (product) to the Alphabet Agency….
Wasn’t it Hitlary’s LawFare firm….Perkins-Coie…..that had a government terminal on site…..they could spy for the AA’s as contractors and for Hitlary (or other dims) for a fee.
