Chicago Prosecutor Sticks It to ‘Tone-Deaf’ Kim Foxx in Scathing Resignation Letter

BPR: The progressive, soft-on-crime policies plaguing major metropolitan areas haven’t merely been a bane to everyday citizens as one of Chicago’s top prosecutors made that clear in his resignation letter to Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx Friday when, after 25 years, the “tone-deaf” administration had become more than he could take.

Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney (ASA) Jim Murphy had overseen grand jury matters and felony bail hearings in and around Chicago, Illinois until Friday when he tendered his resignation in an office-wide email panning the “political narratives and agendas” of Foxx and her ilk.

“This was my dream job,” Murphy explained in the letter obtained by CWBChicago. But while he lauded the hard work of many who worked alongside him, his experience working as an ASA had begun to sour with the passage of the Safe-T Act. Signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker in Jan. 2021, the legislation began the elimination of cash bail within two years and opened the door for citizens to make anonymous complaints against officers.

“I wish I could stay. I would love to continue to fight for the victims of crime…especially in the face of the overwhelming crime that is crippling our communities,” Murphy explained. “However, I can no longer work for this administration. I have zero confidence in their leadership.” more here

  1. I hope this guy already has a new job locked in, in a Red state/city, because he will never work in a blue one. Kim Foxx will probably pull strings to get him disbarred.

Feel sorry for the people not possessed and those trying to succeed from Chitcago. Damn, Pritzker is a demon and evil runs the state

  3. @Woody

I don’t blame him for waiting for his pension. He needs something out of Chicago besides a bad job referral from Kim Foxx. You know she’ll try to mess up his future if she has the opportunity.
