The Biden regime is pressuring Mexico to accept more migrants from Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and other Latin American countries under the Covid-19 expulsion order that the White House has sought an end to. This according to seven US sources and three Mexican sources.
Reuters reports that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has raised concerns about the stark increase in illegal immigrants coming from the countries during a visit to Mexico City. Mexico, however, did not promise any specific action.
One source told Reuters that getting Mexico to agreeing is an “uphill battle.” All sources in the story requested anonymity.
Mexico has already played a role in accepting migrants from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. “So far this fiscal year, 299,000 people from those countries have been expelled at the border, compared to 9,000 returns from Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela,” Reuters writes. more here
